I've been hooked up! I can hear with my CI! And...everything, I mean EVERYTHING sounds like Tweety Bird! Dog barking? Tweety Bird. 6ft 4in ex-football player? Tweety Bird. Race car with tricked out engine and glass pipes?? Tweety Bird! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ That's the hilarious part. The part that isn't so hilarious? Tweety Bird needs to be shot if he talks a bit overmuch. šŸ‘€šŸ˜³šŸ˜³šŸ¤Ŗ Audiologist assures me that this will pass as my brain gets accustomed to the new input. As is, it's causing me quite the headache...

About a three month process to get the full range of sounds and about a year to really know what it will all really sound like. Meantime? I can play with the toy on my phone! All sorts of itty bitty geeky things I can do in there. But that'll have to wait. Work beckons and I've a monster headache to manage (which is not uncommon for initial hookup), and sounds to identify (there's something clicking rhythmically somewhere in this freakin' house and I don't yet know what it is or what direction it's coming from...I just know it isn't the dog!).
